American Architects meet Italian Design | New York
Scavolini, international symbol of “Made in Italy” excellence, is one of the companies featured at the "American Architects meet Italian Design" events, promoted by INTERNI Magazine and the Milan Furniture Show during New York Design Week.
James Biber, the director in charge of the design of the USA pavilion at EXPO Milan 2015 was the guest of honor at the Scavolini event, Monday, May 18th, 9am at the Scavolini Soho Gallery (429 West Broadway, New York).
Biber narrated – for the first time in New York – his design for the Universal Exposition, “American Food 2.0: United to Feed the Planet’’. The structure, based on the concepts of transparency and accessibility, is a contemporary, technologically advanced interpretation of a hayloft, 35,000 square feet in size, with an attached vertical farm featuring 42 varieties of fruits, vegetables, grains and herbs.
