Some valuable advice for environmentally friendly cleaning
No one likes cleaning the oven…
can be completed by using only simple, natural, and environmentally friendly products that give an astonishing final result and make zero impact on the environment.
Choose ecological degreasersThere are many great products available on the market for cleaning the oven, however, the choice should be made carefully.
Avoid degreasers that can leave toxic residues in the oven, which may compromise the integrity and health of any food cooked after the cleaning.
Only choose ecological, biodegradable products with a cleaning power equal to or greater than that of chemical cleaners, and that don’t leave any harmful residues.
Give the oven a scrubMixing water, salt, and baking soda is an effective and natural way to clean the oven.
Mix one cup of salt, one cup of baking soda, and one cup of water to form an abrasive paste.
Spread the paste over all the surfaces in the oven and let it sit for about an hour. Then, gently remove the paste with a damp cloth and see the power of this simple and natural cleaning mixture.
Ask vinegar for helpOur "grandmother’s remedy" to clean the oven only requires a little bit of vinegar; it’s more effective than you might think.
Cider, or wine vinegar, is actually an excellent addition to your kitchen cleaning products. Plus, it’s entirely natural and ecologically sustainable.
Just heat a metal pot or pan with a little bit of water and a large glass of vinegar.
Once the liquid starts to boil, carefully place it in the oven pre-heated to 212° F and let it sit for 15 minutes. Next, soak an abrasive sponge in the mix and then use the sponge to clean the oven being careful not to scratch the oven walls.
Use lemon to eliminate unpleasant odorsTo get rid of unpleasant odors inside the oven, just ask nature for help.
Squeeze three lemons in a pot or ban, and heat the pan up to 212° F.
Then, turn off the heat and leave the lemon juice to sit in the oven for a solid hour in order to capture the unpleasant odors and replace it with a fresh, lemony scent.
You could also rub the lemon gently over the oven walls; this works particularly well if there is no caked on dirt on the oven walls. Oven cleaning can easily become a safe, natural and ecologically sustainable process with impeccable results and without impacting Mother Earth.
