In 2021, we obtained the FSC® certification based on the “Chain of Custody” principle: certificate number SGSCH-COC-090148.
What does Chain of Custody mean? It means “we are the leaders” and that we guarantee the meticulous and systematic assessment of forest-based raw material suppliers with whom we make our products for your furniture.
It means we have progressively adapted all the company’s processes (procurement, processing, sale and distribution) to the strict international requirements provided for by the FSC standard: in other words the traceability of cellulose-based materials, ensuring they have been sourced from forests that are managed in an environmentally-friendly, socially responsible and economically sustainable manner.
Indeed, it is essential to us that we offer our consumers a specific guarantee as to the source of the timber used and demonstrate - in a transparent and controlled way - our active and responsible contribution towards protecting nature and its precious resources.
This “Chain of Custody” certification is therefore a vital and essential step in order to apply FSC labels onto our products in future. It also testifies to our environmental engagement towards achieving greater sustainability, which has been sealed over the years by a large number of acknowledgments at international level. Our goal has always been to satisfy your needs with a wide range of quality products and services, while giving top priority to sustainability, to occupational health and safety and to valuing the social and human relations with co-workers and the local territory.
Today, we want to make a difference and continue with our commitment to improving the entire production cycle consistently with an eco-sustainable approach that started with the ambitious project Scavolini Green Mind.
This is because we are fully aware of our responsibility towards the planet along with its inhabitants.
